Jordan Depoyster is a 2016 2B/SS, RHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Florence, AL who attends Wilson. Compact frame, lean athletic build. Solid footspeed, ran a 6.99 60-yard dash. Right handed hitter, high hands set, easy load and weight transfer, maintains good balance throughout swing. Longer swing, flashes some feel for the barrel and has a middle of the field approach. Good fundamentals defensively, fields the ball out in front, funnels the ball well and has solid footwork, does a good job making the routine play. Also pitches, uses compact arm-action, hides the ball well, some deception in delivery with slightly closed landing. Fastball up to 77 mph, has arm side run. Also shows some feel for a mid-60s curveball with 11/5 shape, will occasionally get on the side of the ball. Solid command, throws strikes with both pitches. Great student.
