William Tamkin is a 2018 LHP/1B with a 6-3 160 lb. frame from Malibu, CA who attends Malibu HS. Large frame with long, lean build; highly projectable body overall. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.68 seconds. Primary pitcher, longer arm action with solid looseness, has some funkiness in delivery which adds deception, lands slightly closed and creates crossfire, fastball worked 73-78 MPH with solid arm side run. Showed curveball with short, tight, downward break; also flashed changeup with solid fading action; threw strikes with all pitches and projects well on the mound overall. Sets to hit from tall, narrow-based stance square to the plate, wraps hands to start, line drive swing plane with approach to pull the ball. Showed well at 1st base, has athleticism in range, fields cleanly, quick release across with throws up to 75 MPH. Very good student.
