Austin Slate is a 2020 OF/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Villa Rica, GA who attends Alexander. Medium and athletic frame with room to fill. Ran a 6.95 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, young footwork moving to the baseball, strong lower half to produce solid arm strength from the outfield, topped out at 86 mph from his primary outfield position. Secondary righthanded pitcher, takes his arm back to a long arm action, releases with intent and deception from a high front side while creating plane downhill, fastball is straight and topped out at 80 mph, curveball shows some biting action. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the narrow stance and a high back elbow, wraps deeply at load, shows some strength at contact with line drive jump to all fields. Good student.
