Ray Spraggins is a 2020 SS/2B, OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Blackwood, NJ who attends Triton High School. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 5.55 40-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and funnels into body, takes short strides moving to the backhand and comes through the ball, can incorporate additional lower half to gain momentum, taller release, shows accuracy across the diamond and the ability to drop slot on throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; shifts weight through lower half and occasionally gets to front side early. Utilizes a contact oriented approach, looks to hit the ball out front at point of contact with full swing path. Front side occasionally opens early, stays linear through the zone and works the middle and pull sides well.
