Timothy Irons is a 2018 SS/2B, 3B, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Burlington, NJ who attends Rancocas Valley High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 5.26 40-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, works behind the ball well and shows range to either side, long strides to the backhand and worked through it well, gets on top of throws and shows accuracy across, ball comes out of hand cleanly and projects for additional arm strength. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and uses a leg lift trigger for timing. Shows intent in each swing, coils at top of leg lift and moves into contact well while creating torque. Creates nice bat speed through the zone and projects for more, has moving parts to swing but repeats well and finds the barrel, looks to elevate at point of contact. Very good student.
