Grady Davenport is a 2017 2B/3B, SS with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Tulsa, OK who attends Union High School. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and nice physical strength proportioned throughout build. Excellent runner, posted a 6.84 60-yard dash, showed off quick-twitch muscle. Primary middle infielder, short steps moving towards the ball with a sound first step, fields the ball out front and funnels into a lower arm slot on throws across the diamond, shows accuracy, ball comes out of hand easily. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and a medium stance in the box. Shows quickness ot hands with a short and direct bat path to the ball. Drifts to front side early and occasionally gets under the ball, shows solid carry off the barrel to the middle and pull side parts of the field when on time. Nice bat path and generates sound bat speed coming through the zone. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Cowley County CC.
