2019 Gulf Coast Prospect Showcase
Caleb Goddard is a 2020 RHP/1B, 2B, 3B with a 6-0 208 lb. frame from Tupelo, MS who attends Rossville Christian Academy. Showed a larger frame with a stocky build and very solid lower half. Ran a 7.52 second sixty yard dash. Primary Righthanded pitcher who toes the rubber from the firstbase side before working into a belt high leg kick and drive. He showed repeatable actions with drop and drive type mechanics. He liked to work from a higher three-quarter arm slot with his fastball sitting in the upper-70's while he touched 80 while keeping hitters guessing with a curveball in the mid-60's. Secondary Firstbaseman who showed some great glove work picking balls out of the dirt. He also had a good feel with the glove on groundballs receiving the baseball out front before firing accurate throws around the diamond. Righthanded hitter starting from a spread out stance while balanced doing a good job of transferring weight into swings. He used a linear swing path with a middle of the field type approach. Outstanding Student.
