Patrick Arnold is a 2018 RHP/3B with a 5-9 159 lb. frame from Farmington, CT who attends Farmington. Medium frame with slender, athletic build throughout body and good remaining room to continue filling out. Primary pitcher, shows smooth and repeatable delivery with good tempo and online drive to the plate, throws from extended low 3/4 arm slot, will show crossfire at times when front hip doesn't fully rotate, FB worked 70-77 with good life to arm side and slight sink. Did good job throwing FB to both sides of the plate, CB showed good sweeping action with some depth, good spin on pitch as well. Hits from tall stance and bars hands slightly into load, long stride into contact with solid weight shift, consistent mid-field approach with line drive swing plane, good barrel control, made consistent line drive contact. Fielded well in the OF, showed good overall defensive fundamentals, exchanges quickly and cleanly, solid arm strength with throws topping at 78 MPH. Very good student.
