Brett Allen is a 2021 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Mechanicsville, VA who attends Benedictine School. Recorded a 6.96 second 60-yard dash time. Lean, athletic frame with lots of room to fill out and add strength. Primary shortstop with some twitch to actions and is athletic from side to side. Shorter stride with accuracy across the diamond and good arm strength recorded up to 88 mph. Arm strength plays well from secondary position of catcher. Secondary righthanded pitcher who throws exclusively from the stretch. Quick arm stroke and throws a 12/6 breaking ball with good shape and depth to it. Firm sinking changeup and induces weak contact. Three pitches for strikes and locates nicely. Switch hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and an even base. High leg lift trigger with a short path to the ball. Linear through the zone and gets the barrel through well. Wraps hands slightly but has bat speed and offensive tools to work with. Good student.
