Ian Ostberg is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Florence, MA who attends The Williston Northampton. Medium frame with excellent athleticism throughout build, solid strength present with good physical projection remaining. Ran very well, posting a 6.71 seconds 60 yard dash time. Hits from narrow stance with leg lift trigger, shows very quick hands with consistent barrel, long stride into contact with good momentum in lower half and good rhythmic timing, middle-field approach with consistently hard line drive contact. Showed ability to hit hard liners to all fields. Will have more and more power with continued physical and mechanical development. Shows very quick first step in the infield, gets himself in good position to field, quality actions with clean hands, works through the ball well with balance and athleticism, crow hops well and shows good arm strength on throws across the infield, topping at 84 MPH. Named to 2015 Northeast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
