Ty Barzak is a 2018 OF/MIF with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Conneaut Lake, PA who attends Cochranton. Compact frame, young, lean build. Right handed hitter, wide base with high back elbow and high hands set. Knee-to-knee trigger, good stride and weight shift, stays balanced throughout swing. Some feel for the barrel, able to work to middle of the field with line drive swing path, still developing strength and bat speed, should continue to improve as he matures and gets stronger. Primary outfielder, shows good instincts and aggression in working to the ball, at times gets feet caught underneath but shows good use of lower half. Also plays infield, still developing actions, but showed ability to work through the ball and make accurate throws across diamond from compact arm-action. Excellent student.
