Geoffrey Watkins is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-5 195 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Lassiter HS. Recorded a 7.44 second 60-yard dash time. Long, lean frame with broad shoulders and a very projectable pitcher's build. PRimary righthanded pitcher with a side step start into a high leg lift with a generally over the hand windup. Full arm path through a higher three-quarters arm slot. Lots of plane when down in the strike zone. Arm comes through cleanly with good command of the fastball. Straight changeup mixed in with a tight breaking ball with short break. Works to all quadrants of the strike zone and projects nicely. Secondary first baseman with good bounce off the bag and athleticism. Arm strength plays from the position. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and high back elbow. Small stride into contact with some strength through the point of impact. Named to the 2018 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
