Brenden Rakowski is a 2017 RHP with a 6-6 185 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Floyd Kellam HS. Extra large frame with extremely long, extremely lean frame; high end projection remaining on frame. Showed balanced, good tempo windup into delivery, with long and loose arm action that projects well. Good arm speed through release, generates very good extension out front as well, which makes his pitches seem even harder to hitters than velocity would indicate. Fastball worked 80-82 and touched 83 MPH with good projection remaining. Fastball has good natural run on it, gets inside consistently to both handed hitters. Showed curveball in mid-upper 60's with 11/5 shape, will overthrow it at times. Flashed quality feel for his changeup, maintaining fastball arm speed when throwing it and turning it over well. Pitch, at it's best, has good fading action.
