Cody Phillips is a 2016 3B/MIF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Madison, AL who attends Bob Jones HS. Lean, slender build on longer frame. Plenty of room to get stronger. Young, developing athlete. Right handed hitter, open stance setup, gets closed and back online at contact. Short, direct swing path with ability to stay inside the baseball. Some rotational elements and occasional timing issues with lower half, but flashed good square contact and solid hands. Uses the middle of the field well. Sits back a bit in the infield, could work through a bit better, does show soft hands and accurate throws. Very good student.
