Jonah Starr is a 2016 2B/SS/RHP with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Greenwood Village, CO who attends Cherry Creek HS. Medium athletic build, looks bigger and stronger than listed. Right handed hitter, spread straight legged stance, upper half swing, swings hard and has some bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard, looks to pull the ball, line drive swing path and contact, has nice overall hitting tools. Good actions both in the infield and outfield, fields the ball cleanly with a good exchange and release, has some arm strength, grades out a bit better in the outfield but is solid at both, can improve his running speed and quickness. Also pitched, compact arm action, has some energy at release and tends to fall off. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, good arm side running action at times. Curveball was very effective with good depth and bite, threw strikes with both pitches. Very good student.
