Kevin Chaimowitz is a 2017 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Bellmore, NY who attends Wellington C Mepham. Large frame with long, strong build; still projects moving forward. Ran 40 yard dash in 5.35 seconds. Short to the ball with hands in swing, rotational in torso with good approach to use whole field. Approach is mostly up the middle-to the opposite field, can turn the barrel and pull the ball when needed. Consistently line drives off the barrel. fields from under the ball in the infield, shows quality defensive fundamentals with good footwork. Arm is very clean through release, up to 77 MPH across. Pitched as well, stands tall on backside, gets online with linear mechanics and lands a bit closed with front foot. Throws from three quarters slot with good extension, gets over front side well. FB worked 76-79 MPH, velocity projects some, good life on FB. Quality CH in low 70's with FB-mimicking action out of hand, also showed sweeping 11/5 breaking ball in upper 60's. Outstanding student.
