Karsten Marker is a 2016 RHP/1B with a 6-5 195 lb. frame from Orange City, IA who attends Moc-Floyd Valley HS. Large, lean, athletic frame with excellent physical projection. Long limbs with good athleticism. Employs deliberate, leg-raise delivery on the mound with slight drop and drive mechanics. Longer arm action with slight wrap in back to high 3/4 slot. Worked downhill well, only threw fastballs across entire outing. FB worked in the high 70's, touching 79 at highest. Generates good sink on pitch when down it zone; a bit flatter when up in zone. Medium effort arm. Shows ability to work to both sides of the plate with fastball. Pounded the zone consistently with strikes. Projects very well physically; should add velocity in future as a result once strength is added. Very good student.
