Sam Aslansan is a 2019 C with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Philadelphia, PA who attends Chestnut Hill Academy. Medium and lean frame, young build that projects with added strength in the future. Primary catcher, does a good job of gaining ground on throws with lower half, short and compact arm action that's easy and will continue to develop strength. Longer release, receives the ball out front, gets under throws at times but accurate to second base. Right-handed batter, starts with a wide base and shows a simple swing in the box. Short bat path to the ball, slight uphill swing plane, able to generate some bat speed and projects well, shows a feel for the barrel. Very good student.
