Dominic Cancellieri is a 2019 RHP/SS with a 5-11 181 lb. frame from Wayne, NJ who attends Bergen Catholic High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.35 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher, uptempo delivery, compact arm action, long arm circle, online delivery, closed landing, and threw from a high three quarter arm slot. Attacked hitters, athletic off the mound, and successfully pitched to contact. Fastball worked 79-83 mph with sink the lower third and worked downhill and around the zone with it. Showed feel for changeup with downward action and short sink at 66 mph. Also showed curveball with depth and ability to throw for strikes. Very repeatable delivery with ability to get all three pitches over for strikes. Secondary infielder, gets in a good position to throw, moves well to the ball, throws from a higher arm slot, clean, efficient actions, and balance on the slow roller. Top velocity across the infield of 85 mph. At the plate, starts with an open, rigid hand load, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Deeper hip turn at start and creates leverage through lower half i swing. Generates bat speed with a line drive swing plane and showed quickness to hands through the zone. Exceptional student. Named to Top Prospect List.
