Andrew Bowman is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Pope HS. Medium frame with long limbs, lean, slender athletic build. Primary left handed pitcher, worked exclusively out of the stretch. Releases from a high 3/4's arm slot, uses medium-extended arm-action, maintains looseness and fluidity. Fastball up to 70 mph, has natural sinking life and occasional cutting action, plays well when down in the strike zone. Also flashed feel for big-breaking curveball with plenty of depth, changes hitters' timing and eye levels. Worked out in the infield as well, attacks the ball and surrounds it well. Accurate throws across the diamond, up to 73 mph in defensive drills. At the plate, shows an opposite field approach. Hits off of his backside, flashes ability to handle the barrel and repeat contact-oriented swing with comfort hitting up the middle. Good student.
