Cade Thompson is a 2022 SS/RHP, OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton. Medium frame with lean build showing room to fill out down the road. Ran a 7.33 second sixty yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the baseball out front with clean funnel, shuffles into the release with a clean arm action, online throws with repeatable footwork and good hands. Secondary righthanded pitcher, showed a smooth motion with a shorter arm action leading into a high 3/4 arm slot, filled up the strike zone with all pitches, fastball showed some arm side run sitting at 74-78, curveball had 11-5 break with some depth at 68 and his changeup sat at 66. Righthanded hitter, even base with a slightly open stance, showed a smooth, compact swing and found the barrel consistently, gap to gap approach and worked all fields. Outstanding student.
