Cameron Hirahara is a 2017 OF/2B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Grover Beach, CA who attends Arroyo Grande. Medium-large frame with wiry strength at present, projects very well moving forward physically. Sets up to hit with a wrapped start, shows good feel for the barrel in simple, repeatable swing. Hips shift well into contact and backside comes through, executes plan and approach well, projects very well offensively moving forward. Worked out defensively both in the infield and the outfield. Fielded cleanly with some stiffness in the outfield, threw accurately both to 3B and home. Fielded with two hands in the infield, under the ball, deliberate but clean actions, very accurate across the diamond. Ran a 7.44 60-yard dash. Very good student.
