William Meese is a 2019 RHP/SS with a 6-2 148 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cypress Woods HS. Long limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a smooth, clean delivery. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly generating some downward plane with riding life in the upper 70's, topped at 79 miles per hour. Showed good feel for a 12/6 breaking ball that had tight spin with late depth in the upper 60's. Also flashed a changeup in the low 70's created some fade to arm side. Looked to work ahead with fastball before utilizing breaking ball. Consistently missed barrel with curveball and induced weak contact. Also worked out defensively from infield showing smooth paced, deliberate actions while rounding the baseball. Flashed solid lateral ranged with some fluidity while funneling. Loose, smooth arm stroke at release and created accurate carry to the bag at 80 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a simple, repeatable swing path. Looks to get barrel head out to contact quickly while employing a mid field to pull approach. Consistently barrel the baseball producing line drive contact. Outstanding student.
