James Andrew (Drew) Ledford is a 2018 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Simpsonville, SC who attends Southside Christian Schools. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; projects well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.78 seconds. Sets up to hit with slightly open stance at the plate, narrow base, upright with high hand set, leg lift trigger, line drive swing plane with quality hand speed. Uses the entire field when hitting, does a good job covering the plate in swing. Solid actions behind the plate, shows solid receiving skills, stands a bit to throw down, popped as low as 2.09 seconds, threw a runner out in game as well. Fields cleanly at 1B, moves well with footwork, pivots well and makes accurate throws to 2B and 3B. Pitched as well, online delivery with good balance, strike thrower with command to both sides, FB worked 76-79 MPH with life. Showed CB with solid depth and changeup with fading action; did a good job eliciting weak contact. Very good student.
