Benjamin Goff is a 2021 RHP/2B, OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from St. Louis, MO who attends John Burroughs. Medium build, skinny frame with lots of room to fill throughout with added strength, ran a 7.44 60 yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher, clean arm action to a high 3/4 arm slot, leg lift above waist, high hand separation, drop and drive delivery, good back leg drive with solid extension finishing well over front foot, stays online, good tempo throughout delivery. Solid three pitch mix, fastball shows occasional cutting action, fastball topped out at 76 mph, good feel for a 12-to-6 curveball that showed depth, flashed a good changeup with late armside run, should look to use changeup more often. Also took reps in the infield showing solid glove skills fielding the ball out in front, solid arm strength with some carry to throws, developing quickness on exchange. Righthanded hitter, upright and wide base, slightly open stance, high hand set, high back elbow, limited and linear lower half with a leg kick load, could see improvement with additional lower half involvement, downhill swing with quick hands, flashed bat speed that will continue to come with maturity and growth, consistent line drive contact to the middle of the field during batting practice round and hard contact in game, interesting young prospect.
