Edwin Bowman lV is a 2022 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-3 172 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends North Gwinnett. Tall and lanky frame, limitless projection remaining physically. Ran a 7.60 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins his delivery with a side step to square his body to the plate, lifts his leg to a balanced and high position, will pause at the top of his windup before taking his arm back to a long arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, filled up the strike zone with a three pitch mix. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with heaviness to it and flashes armside run, curveball sits in the mid-60s with a short depth and tight 11-5 spin, advanced feel for his changeup that has more potential with development. Secondary first baseman, young actions at the position with a clean glove. Also worked out in the outfield, low effort actions shuffling into his release, uses a similar arm action and arm slot as on the mound, topped out at 78 mph from the outfield. Righthanded hitter, starts swing with a toe tap trigger used for timing, takes a direct path to contact, creates leverage a juice when on time, gets the bat head out in front and creates some lift when staying on plane to contact.
