Michael Vocaturo is a 2017 1B/C with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Sparta, NJ who attends Sparta HS. Tall, strongly built, proportioned frame and has room to add strength. Ran a 5.71 40 yard dash. Fields out front at first base and hands work well. Arm strength is developing across the diamond. Receives well behind the plate, needs more consistency with throwing actions. Bats right-handed, works from a solid base and has movement in his hands. Has a flat line drive swing path and flashes solid bat speed. Makes consistent solid contact. Good student.
