Homero Saldivar is a 2019 1B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Laredo, TX who attends United. Big and thick build with very good present strength, long arms for his height and build. Right handed hitter, has a long rotational swing with bat speed out front, swings with intent and is looking to pull and drive the ball, showed his power in the game with a long home run. Has polished actions defensively around the first base bag, soft hands. Also pitched, long deliberate takeaway in back with a high leg raise, is fluid in his mechanics and repeats them well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, did a good job mixing in his secondary pitches and had an idea how to pitch and disrupt hitters timing. Good student.
