2018 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Michael Convery is a 2019 1B/RHP with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Roswell HS. Recorded a 7.07 second 60-yard dash time. Large, physical frame with broad shoulders, size, and athleticism too. Primary first baseman who fields out in front and has short, sure steps into release. Solid footwork and works well around the bag. Quick turn around the bag and has some present arm strength recorded up to 83 mph. Accurate throws and has good presence at the position. Secondary outfielder, where the arm plays well, and righthanded pitcher. Throws exclusively from the stretch and stays online down the mound. Short stride and the arm stroke is loose and offline. Flashed a changeup and a soft breaking ball as well. Lefthanded hitter with big bat speed and lots of impact strength off the barrel. Natural leverage to pull and the hips fire well. Lots of carry to all fields with present pull pop as well. High impact bat and ceiling. Named to the 2018 PG Fall TP Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
