Nicholas Wilson is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Kenner, LA who attends John Curtis HS. Thick and mature build with good present strength. Simple delivery mechanics, high hand break with a high leg lift, throws from a high 3/4's slot, tended to struggle from the stretch with his slide step and shortening his arm action. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 76 mph, pitches mostly arm side with some run and sink. Slurve type breaking ball with some sweeping action. Had some feel for his change up with good arm speed, could have used more often. Right handed hitter, limited shift into contact, upper half strength swing from a low hand start, uppercut swing plane, can benefit from better use of his strong lower half. Good student.
