Joseph Delgatto is a 2017 RHP/OF, C with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Spring Hill, FL who attends Frank W. Springstead HS. Has a medium frame and athletic build. Posted a 7.03 second sixty yard dash. From the mound, has a balanced delivery with an easy pace, medium leg lift just past the belt, and a slight crossfire delivery. Throws from a three quarter arm slot with long arm action in the back. Fastball has late life and arm side run, very effective when going inside on right handed hitters. Slider had solid break, misses barrels in strike zone. Did a nice job of keeping hitters off balanced and commanding pitches in the zone. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with an upright stance and leg lift trigger. Uses a middle of the field approach, stays on a line drive swing plane, has leverage and natural lift finishing through contact, very consistently barreling up the baseball. Excellent student.
