Michael Ran is a 2017 2B/SS/OF with a 6-3 163 lb. frame from Bellaire, TX who attends The Emery Weiner School. Tall, thin build, lots of room to project solid muscle and strength. Primary infielder, solid footwork and works through the ball well, can be more aggressive in charging and fielding out in front. Long, loose arm-action with solid arm strength. Developing athlete, ran a solid 6.98 60-yard dash. Left handed hitter, tall stance from narrow base, high hand set at ears. Nice, short line drive swing, able to repeat middle mechanics well, gets the barrel into the zone quickly, swings hard, can get a bit out in front and around the ball at times. Has nice hitting tools to work with and project on. Excellent student.
