Kyle Kasper is a 2016 C/IF, 3B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Algonquin, IL who attends Harry D Jacobs. Smaller frame with build. Even, upright stance at the plate. Loads hands to a strong, athletic postition and has some rhythm in launch. Repeats swing path and primarly looks to drive pitches that are below the belt. Good balance through contact and showed some bat speed when on time. Solid glove skills behind the plate with fundamental footwork and very quick out of the crouch on throws. Transfer is efficent but choppy at times, will improve with fluidity. Best pop 1.96. Will improve with strength. Quick, short release on throws from the infield. Topped at 72 mph across infield. Limited ranget to both sides. Projects as a catcher. Good student as well.
