2015 Mid Atlantic Top Prospect Showcase
Joe Peluso is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Doylestown, PA who attends LaSalle HS. Medium frame, slender build, room to put on additional strength as he continues to mature. Posted a 7.84 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher that throws from a 3/4 arm slot with long arm action and good arm speed. High led lift in delivery while lower half does a nice job driving toward the plate. Has some tilt and stays balanced throughout, some recoil in his arm following extension. Fastball has some late life. Curveball has 11/5 shape with solid depth and good shape. From the infield, fields the ball out in front with clean transfers. Full arm action on throws that showed strength and carry. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with an upright stance and a high hand set. Swing begins with with a high leg lift trigger and hands extending back to the catcher. Stays short to the baseball with a middle of the field approach. Back side looks to elevate and generate lift at the point of contact. Good student.
