Kyle Richards is a 2018 C/1B with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Parlin, NJ who attends Sayreville War Memorial High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a low set behind the plate, athletic actions behind the plate, higher but quick transfer to get ball out into a tight release from a short arm action, gets on top of throws well and shows accuracy down to second base, shows carry from knees on throws too. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high back elbow in the box and an even stance in the box. Utilizes a small toe tap trigger at the start of swing, upper body dominant swing, employs a contact approach in the box with a linear swing plane, shows ability to work all fields. High finish through the point of contact, sound mechanics and repeats them well, stays on time with swing, projects with additional physical strength. Good student.
