Thomas Carroll is a 2008 3B/P/UT with a 5'11", 175 lb frame from Baltimore, MD who attends Loyola Blakefield HS. Thomas has an athletic build with a little bit of room left to fill out. At the plate Thomas has a short swing with some hand quickness and he shows the ability to go to all fields. Thomas tends to cut himself off some in his swing and needs to work on getting a better rhythm at the plate. In field Thomas shows solid actions with good body control. His arm strength is a little limited right now and he will probably need to stick to second base. On the mound Thomas throws with a good downhill plane and a short arm action. He has an online delivery and shows off a 12 to 6 curveball. Thomas is a strong student that could attract attention from some smaller colleges.
