Jeffrey Michael Gayles is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Phenix City, AL who attends Russell County HS. Nice pitcher's build, tall and strong and projectable physically. Rock back delivery, compact arm action in back, high 3/4's arm slot, limited lower half use to generate power to the plate, low effort release. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, mostly straight with some cutting action, tends to pitch up in the strike zone. Soft curveball with short 1/7 shape, developing change up. Left handed hitter, long and lifting swing with an early front side, looking to pull the ball, has some leverage when squared.
