Connor Cook is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Roselle, IL who attends Lake Park HS. Cook has a medium athletic build with room to fill out. Hits from a slightly open stance, line drive swing plane with good leg drive and hip rotation. Has quick hands to the ball. Makes consistent line drive contact. Has present strength in swing. Defensively, hands work well, developing footwork and arm action. Also pitched. Has long arm, has slight hip turn at balance, short arm action in back to a high 3/4 arm slot. Arm works well with some quickness, fastball has late life down in zone. Gets good extension at release. Repeats delivery well. Mixes in a 11/5 curveball with depth, tends to slow arm bit, but has good snap at release. Has good upside on mound. Outstanding Student.
