Alec Iverson is a 2016 OF/ with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Des Moines, IA who attends Carlisle. Small, athletic frame with developing strength. Right handed hitter with a short mechanical swing and a mid-field approach. Hands and barrel launch on a tight, compact plane to contact and gets to finish quickly. Consistentl barrel control in the zone with flashes of pop to pull side gap. Keeps movements to contact simple with balance throughout the swing. Should continue to develop with strength. Worked out defensively from both the OF and IF. From the OF shows long strides while closing on baseball with deliberate actions through the baseball. Short arm action, tends to push the ball at times. Topped at 83 mph from the OF. Smooth glove work while working through transition into throws. From the IF surrounds the ball well and has deep funneling actions. Tends ot field on the heels while work through the transition. Shorter arm actions from the infield, topped at 79 mph. Higher ceiling as an OF prospect at this time.
