Alex Kopriva is a 2017 OF/3B, RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Ankeny, IA who attends Ankeny Centennial. Medium frame with a solid, athletic build. Shows beginning of present strength and projects for additional strength with continued physical maturity. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and high back elbow set. Lower half launches to contact with rotational actions creating occasional shift. Direct, compact path to contact with a downhill swing plane through extension. Front side trigger causes some barrel drag at times when not down in time. Shows best swing plane and bat speed when trigger is on time and working the baseball between the outfield gaps. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and mechanical refinement. Excellent student as well.
