Matt Hicks is a 2016 LHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Bend, OR who attends Summitt HS. Medium, lean, athletic built with more room to add strength. Ran a 7.56 60 yard dash. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and stays on top consistently. Has a long, clean arm action and the fastball jumps out of his hands. Tops at 81 mph with major life through the zone. Will continue to add velocity with added strength and mild mechanical adjustments. High upside arm. Curveball will need tightening but flashes good 1-7 shape at 65 mph. Attacks the zone. Also swung the bat, has a high leg kick trigger and uses the opposite field with intent. Flashes solid bat speed. Arm works well from the outfield. High upside on the mound. Excellent student. Named to Top Prospect list.
