Zakiel Morla is a 2015 OF/IF with a 6-2 188 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Zebulon B Vance. Morla has a strong athletic build. Hits from an open stance. Line drive swing plane with a pull approach. Gets hands in to a good spot to hit. Occasional hard contact to pull side. Has lift in swing. Defensively, from the OF, long arm action, high release, feet work well, sits back on hops and than comes through well. From the INF, 3/4 release point, good flexibility in hips, moves well to glove side. Accurate throws.
