Cooper Gallion is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Redondo Beach, CA who attends Redondo Union. Gallion has a large frame with a strong physical build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action. Gallion has arm speed and the ball comes out clean. He has a clean delivery and has a good downward plane. He works quick on the mound and got ahead of hitters well. Gallion likes to pitch inside and worked both sides of the plate well. His fastball has late life on it with some run on it. He throws an 11/5 curveball with good shape to it. Gallion fields his position well and showed some athleticism. Defensively he showed good actions and footwork in the outfield with accurate online throws. At the plate, Gallion starts with a square stance and uses a simple weight shift load. He has strength in his swing and has lift as well. Solid two-way player. Named to Top Prospect Team, good student.
