Matthew Mainwaring is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Kennett Square, PA who attends Unionville. Young, athletic build with present strength on frame and room to add more. Ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well to the ball and circles behind it nicely, has range to either side, long arm action with a tight release, quick arm with accuracy on throws across, arm strength will continue to develop nicely. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a medium hand set. Upper body swing with line drive swing plane, uses hands well in swing, short path to the ball with nice overall contact skills. Gets to front side early at times but creates extension out front on swing. Very good student.
