Ethan Student is a 2019 OF/RHP, 1B, UT with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from Hopkinton, MA who attends St. Mark's. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders with present physical strength proportioned well throughout. Excellent runner, especially for size, posted a 6.73 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front and adjusts well behind it, extra step through release, full arm action and works on top of the ball from an over-the-top release, shows accuracy to throws with present carry. Also pitched, upper body dominant release, works from a tight and high three-quarters release point; topped out at 83 mph with fastball and shows plane, able to challenge hitters up in the zone and projects for additional lower half with implementation of lower half into drive. Flashed a curveball up to 69 mph, shows depth and bite will continue to develop with maintained arm speed. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Subtle shift through lower half moving into contact, full path through the zone and shows big jump off the barrel when squared and on time. Generates leverage to swing path and creates extension out front, looks to impact the baseball at point of contact. Good student.
