Austin Hoffmann is a 2016 3B/OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Clark HS. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and present strength on build. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, shows a full arm action and gets on top of throws well with strength across, effort release, fields the ball out front well with hands that play. Similar arm action from the outfield with strength, works over front side well, ball comes out well with carry, attacks the ball. Right-handed hitter, starts with a straight stance and shows an aggressive approach. Swings hard and creates bat speed, shows a pull side approach with good extension out front. Can get long at times with swing but gets barrel to ball and shows strength coming off. Outstanding student.
