James Rowland is a 2015 LHP/ with a 6-4 160 lb. frame from Flat Gap, KY who attends Johnson Central. Tall, slender, wiry, athletic left-handed pitcher with room to fill out. Shows off a short, compact arm action and pitches from a three-quarter arm slot. Stays upright in his delivery and uses a simple leg raise. Has natural cutting action to his 68 mph fastball and keeps it low in the strike zone. Stays off barrels. Also mixes in a slow 12-6 curveball with depth and command. Pitches to contact. Also swung the bat, works from the left side and has a line drive swing path. Stays balanced and extends. Very good student.
