Ty Kaufman is a 2020 SS/2B with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Union Grove. Short frame with an athletic build and square shoulders. Ran a 7.17 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Reads the ball well off the bat with a quick first step. Plays bellow the ball. Accurate carry to the bag topping out at 82 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a wide base. Short stride into contact with a good weight shift. Opposite field approach staying behind the ball. Line drive path with consistent solid contact. Good student as well.
