Jake Gilluly is a 2017 C/OF with a 6-2 192 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends St Michaels Academy HS. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.34 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, receives out front, full arm action with looseness to it, gets on top of throws and around bag, gains short ground with lower half, lower arm slot at release, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, starts with an even stance and a high hand set tight near ear. Upper body swing, keeps hands close and inside the ball, aggressive swing, weight goes early at times but incorporates strength and shows strength off the barrel when squared up. Very good student.
