Brendan Carroll is a 2017 RHP with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Jim Thorpe, PA who attends Jim Thorpe Area. Medium, athletic build with a young and projectable frame with room to fill out with additional strength. Primary right-handed pitcher, works from a high three-quarter arm slot with a shorter arm action coming through the back side. Fastball flashed some cut action to it, lands slightly closed with front foot at release. Has a feel for a three-pitch mix, curveball shows 11-5 life at and flashed a changeup with fade. Occasionally get cross body at release. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and open lower half with a high hand set. Line drive swing plane, stays inside the ball well and creates consistent contact with a nice feel for the barrel. Sees the ball well in the box and has a disciplined approach at the plate. Excellent student.
